I freaking appreciate Thanksgiving.

Truly, let me back up. The accurate origin of Thanksgiving is truly super problematic, but for the purposes of today’s conversation, I will be focusing on the vacation as a time through which mates and household come collectively and break bread.

…Which truly presents a different issue for me personally. About a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune illness– a story for a different day. As of a couple of months ago, 1 way I’ve selected to handle my inflammation is to remove gluten and dairy from my diet. In case I’ve lost you, let I remind you that the following standard Thanksgiving dishes include things like gluten and/or dairy: turkey, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie… Ok yeah, now you see what I imply.

Because we’ll be hosting Thanksgiving in Houston this year and I am the designated chef of the household, I’ve decided to take items into my personal hands and make this a gluten no cost, dairy no cost Thanksgiving.

If this notion has sparked any inspiration in you, let me offer you you a piece of tips. Never say a word to your guests about the lack of gluten or dairy!!! Seriously. In an perfect planet, I’d make this GF/DF spread without the need of telling any of my guests to steer clear of preconceived notions, skepticism, or basic complaints major up to the meal. But since I am an world wide web oversharer a blogger, I’ve decided share all of this with you… And my future dinner guests.

I am genuinely so confident in how scrumptious gluten/dairy no cost consuming can be, so I know you can do this on the low without the need of sacrificing the flavor practical experience of the annual meal or ruffling any feathers major up to it.

Ok, so let’s get into it!
